Gamescom 2019 Day 2 Recap

Gamescom can be overwhelming since there are so many activities packed into four days. Attendees can have a difficult time since there are dozens of gaming booths to enjoy along with important panels taking place across the entire expo.

The first day of Gamescom welcomed the first-ever Opening Night Live pre-show hosted by Geoff Keighley, which acted as a great way to dip fans’ toes into the humongous expo. Gamescom’s Opening Night Live premiered trailers and announcements for highly anticipated games like Gears 5, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Death Stranding.

Attendees are able to check out demos, expos, and community events starting at 9 AM every day. Microsoft has the biggest presence at Gamescom with over 100 individual game demo booths that will include Gears 5’s Horde Mode.

Day 2 of Gamescom, August 21st, debuted tons of information for 2019 and 2020’s eagerly anticipated games like Death Stranding, Cyberpunk 2077, and Darksiders Genesis.

The general consensus around Death Stranding has been that fans are confused but intrigued by Hideo Kojima’s PS4 exclusive title.

Thanks to this official gameplay reveal video, we might have a clearer picture on Death Stranding’s storyline:
