The inaugural Call of Duty League is now in full force since the CDL Launch Weekend 2020 that was held in Minnesota in January. Since the first event, we went across the pond at the CDL London Royal Ravens Home Series 2020. This was the first true event for the CDL as it used the classic tournament format that Call of Duty fans have been accustomed to. During CDL London, we witnessed fan favorites Chicago Huntsmen take home the first event of the year, obliterating all competition as they looked poised to be the best team in Modern Warfare. Now, our attention moves to the third CDL event of the year: CDL Atlanta FaZe Home Series 2020 — hosted by the Atlanta FaZe at the Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta, Georgia from February 22-23.
Similar to how other events for the CDL are going to work this year, not all 12 teams were in attendance at CDL Atlanta. But some of the heavyweights such as Chicago Huntsmen and the London Royal Raves were there competing. The event consisted of the standard group play, which then proceeded into a double-elimination bracket.
Here are CDL Atlanta FaZe Home Series 2020 results, groups, teams, and final standings:

Below are the CDL Atlanta FaZe Home Series 2020 results along with interviews courtesy of our friends over at Dexerto.
Minnesota ROKKR 3 - 1 Paris Legion
The first match of the day was against two of the biggest surprises thus far in the CDL: Minnesota ROKKR and Paris Legion. Paris surprised many people in London as they almost made a run to the finals. After a strong start by Paris with an exceptional performance from Shockz, Minnesota stormed back in the series. Minnesota took the SND in map two, never looked back, andy came out on top in the series with a final score of 3-1.

London Royal Ravens 3 - 1 Florida Mutineers
The second match of the day was a battle between two of the hungriest teams in the CDL: London Royal Ravens and Florida Mutineers. London Royal Ravens started out strong and took the opening Hardpoint map. Moving off of the momentum from the first map, they rallied and took the SND 6-2. With a 2-0 lead in the series, Florida nearly came out on top in the third map. But this was not enough for the Mutineers, as London took the series 3-1.
Chicago Huntsmen 3 - 2 Toronto Ultra
Next on the schedule was a match that many people expected to be one of the quickest of the day because Chicago Huntsmen looked like the best team in the league, and Toronto Ultra failed to gain any momentum during the first two CDL events. To many fans’ surprise, the Toronto Ultra gave the Huntsmen one of their tougher matches of the season thus far. It was a back and forth series that looked like it was going to go to Toronto at any given time. The series went all the way to the final round of the game, but ultimately, it was not Toronto’s day as the Huntsmen once again took the match 3-2. However, this was a strong showing for the Ultra who looked to make a run during the playoffs on Sunday, February 23rd.
Atlanta FaZe 3 - 0 Optic Gaming Los Angeles
The final match of the first round of Group Play was OpTic Gaming Los Angeles versus the host team of CDL Atlanta 2020, the Atlanta FaZe. This was without a doubt the quickest match of the day as FaZe dominated OGLA from start to finish. Optic Gaming Los Angeles is still looking to gain some ground in the CDL as they have surprised many fans with their performance thus far.

Minnesota ROKKR 1 - 3 Chicago Huntsmen (Winners Bracket)
The first two matches would determine who would lock their place into the semi-finals on Sunday while the latter two matches would see the first two teams eliminated from CDL Atlanta 2020. The first winner’s bracket match was the Minnesota ROKRR versus the Chicago Huntsmen, and it was a tight battle. The series was highlighted by Arcytis 14 kill Search and Destroy match that allowed the Huntsmen to gather most of the momentum for the match and ultimately take the series 3-1.
London Royal Ravens 1 - 3 Atlanta FaZe (Winners Bracket)
The next winner’s bracket match was one of the most highly anticipated matches of the season so far. Both the London Royal Ravens and Atlanta FaZe came in red hot, as London came off a massive weekend at their home event. Although fans would have hoped for a game five round 11 situation with this series, this was not the case. The series was once again in FaZe’s favor as they took the match and secured their spot in the semi-finals on Sunday. This is the first time FaZe has played in this tournament format, and they looked to take it all home on Sunday.
Paris Legion 3 - 1 Toronto Ultra (Losers Bracket)
"We are a real deal and a lot of people know it now."#EnGarde leader @KiSMET6_ is convinced @ParisLegion are a "top team" at #CDL2020 Atlanta.

The first loser’s bracket match was against two teams that have shown strong performance thus far at CDL Atlanta 2020. Paris Legion, led by KisMET, was looked down upon before the season began, and now they’re looking to once again make a run into the finals as they ultimately took the series 3-1. The end result of the match is not the one the Ultra was looking for. as They ended their second CDL consecutive event losing to the Paris Legion and are the first team eliminated from CDL Atlanta 2020.
Florida Mutineers 3 - 1 OpTic Gaming Los Angeles (Losers Bracket)
The last match of Saturday featured two teams that people had higher hopes for in the CDL: Florida Mutineers and OpTic Gaming Los Angeles. Although the season is early, both teams did not want to be the second team sent home from CDL Atlanta 2020. OpTic Gaming Los Angeles was one of the teams that fans expected to be at the top of each match. While they bolster a roster that’s loaded with talent, they haven’t lived up to expectations thus far. OGLA fell 3-1 to the Mutineers. The Mutineers were in control of the entire match and booked themselves a match on Sunday to determine if they would advance further at CDL Atlanta 2020.
Florida Mutineers 3 - 2 London Royal Ravens
This was the first of two matches to decide the final two teams that would book their spot in the semi-finals on Sunday. In one of the most contested matches of the event, with both teams wanting to solidify themselves as a top four team in this event, no one wanted to go home early. In a series that could have gone either way at the end of the maps, it was the Florida Mutineers who pulled off the upset over the London Royal Ravens and booked their spot in the semi-finals against the Chicago Huntsmen.
Minnesota ROKKR 3 - 2 Paris Legion
The second match to determine who would advance to the semi-finals was once again a highly contested match that could have gone either way. Both the ROKKR and the Legion were two of the most exciting teams coming into Sunday.. At the end of the match, the ROKKR prevailed as the winning team and booked their spot in the semi-finals versus the home team, Atlanta FaZe.
Finals Results
Chicago Huntsmen 2 - 3 Florida Mutineers
The first semi-final was perhaps one of the most emotional matches in Call of Duty history. It was the first time that brother Arcytis and Prestinni would face off against each other. In what was appearing to be a one-sided affair with the Huntsmen up 2-0 in the series, the Mutineers were not done at CDL Atlanta 2020. Storming back all the way to tie the series up 2-2, the Mutineers ultimately reversed swept the Chicago Huntsmen and ended their tournament with a top four finish.
Atlanta FaZe 3 - 2 Minnesota ROKKR
This was initially predicted to be a convincing one-sided match for the Atlanta FaZe as they were red hot going into their semi-final match. Right off the start of the match, the ROKKR shocked everyone and took the Hardpoint, which was widely considered to be Atlanta FaZe’s best game mode. Afterwards, it was once again anyone’s game as it went all the way to the final game. FaZe came out on top at the end of the match and booked their spot in the grand finals versus the Florida Mutineers.
